Research interests: Bana Dahdah was born and raised in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She received her combined bachelor and master’s degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Manchester in 2015. She then worked in the construction industry for 2 years. In 2019, Bana joined the University of Southern California to obtain a M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering. In 2020, Bana switched gears and decided to pursue a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at USC.

Bana is currently exploring energy and economic aspects of desalination and wastewater reclamation. She is specifically interested in energy recovery devices, brackish water desalination and the different brine management/treatment methods. Also, interested in reducing environmental impacts associated with desalination.

Bana enjoys travelling, music, cooking and exploring the different cultures of the world.
